Class Discussions (Forums) in Moodle

Log into Moodle and open the discussion link.  (This will be located in the current unit of study).


On the left side of the screen there will be a link that is titled with the name of the discussion.  Click on this link to open the discussion. When you are ready to post your response click on the 'reply' link (bottom right-hand corner of the page).

A text box will appear. Type your response. When you have finished click the 'post to forum' button at the bottom of the page.

This will take you back to a screen that shows the original discussion page along with all the responses that have been posted. To respond to a classmates post, click the 'reply' link under their response.
